Application Dates: February 15th through April 15th
Scholarships range between $1,000-$3,000

Individual Scholarship Application


  • Resident of Brevard County, FL
  • 2.3 GPA or higher
  • Must show financial need
  • Already accepted or currently attending a community college or 4-year university. BFF does not provide scholarship support to students attending or planning to attend for-profit colleges.
  • Plan to attend university or college full-time (12 credit hours or equivalent) in coming academic year

Application Requirements:

  • High School or College transcripts (Current H.S. student submit H.S. transcripts, Current College students submit College transcripts)
  • If a current High School student, acceptance letter from a community college or 4-year university
  • Completed scholarship application
  • Two letters of recommendation. Must be from two different people from two different areas of your life such as: community leader, teacher, school counselor or employer
  • New applicants: In no more than two pages, please answer one of the following topics:
    • What are your goals and plans post college graduation? Where do you hope to live?
    • What is it about your personal situation that uniquely qualifies you for a BFF scholarship?
    • What do you plan to study and why did you choose it?

Previous BFF scholarship recipients: Please write about how the scholarship was helpful, and provide an update on your college experience thus far.

Applications up for final review will be asked to provide the following:

  • Last two annual household tax return
  • Any updates to financial aid
  • A photo copy of driver’s license or identification card (Must show Brevard County, FL address)

Deadline and Submission:

Applications will be accepted from February 15th through April 15th. All applications must be submitted electronically, with the exception to the official transcripts mailed to P.O Box 372373, Satellite Beach, FL 32937. Partial and late applications will not be accepted or considered for review. Applications and support materials sent through postal mail or email will be disregarded.

Applicants will be notified by June 8th. Checks will be made payable to the applicant’s college or university, not to individuals. Please email with any questions.
